The Chair's Commendation Award is selected by the Chair of Pride Adelaide from the South Australian Pride Awards finalists.
Every finalist is eligible for consideration, except those who go on to win another award category.
This award gives the Chair the opportunity to recognise a finalist whose contribution stands out in a particular way, whether through service, leadership, persistence, creativity, care, courage or the significance of their story.
It is not a public vote category and it is not nominated separately. It is a special commendation made by the Chair to acknowledge a finalist whose work deserves to be held up as part of the Awards.
A finalist, selected by the Chair of Pride Adelaide, whose contribution deserves special acknowledgement and who is not the winner of another award category.
All finalists across the South Australian Pride Awards are eligible for the Chair's Commendation Award, provided they are not selected as the winner of another category.
A contribution that stayed with the Chair, a story that deserves further recognition, or work that reflects the spirit and purpose of the South Australian Pride Awards.
